The Trinidad Moruga scorpion is a chili pepper native to the district of Moruga in Trinidad and Tobago. It was the world's hottest pepper in 2012 before the title was transferred to the Carolina Reaper. It is a true superhot pepper. Their "scorpion tail" shape is gorgeous. Aside from the heat, the Trinidad Moruga scorpion has a very fruity flavor. This is the "Black" version, a dark brown variant that is also larger than the original scorpion.
